My name is Betsy Anderson and I live on the Baptism River in Finland MN on the North Shore of Lake Superior. The natural beauty of woods and water inspires creativity - Whitewater Jewelry is my creative outlet.

I learned silversmithing after college by shadowing some artist friends because I loved the turquoise and silver jewelry of that time. I took a 35 year detour into the corporate world but now I am back to doing what I love.

I have always been drawn to Native, Mexican and Southwestern jewelry, and they are my biggest design influence. I still use old school techniques to create my bohemian, vintage look jewelry. Turquoise, various jaspers and other rustic semi-precious gemstones are featured in my pieces and help drive my design ideas. All pieces are made with solid sterling silver (.925)
